Everyone is welcome to be a part of the Arkansas Society of Freethinkers and basic membership is free. But, like any organization, we rely on donations and membership dues to pay for essentials like web hosting, business cards & flyers, advertising, venue rentals, and more. Everyone is welcome to join us on our Meetup site and join in on the many events and conversations.
In addition to putting on fun events we are also a state registered nonprofit that is very involved in Little Rock. We have a Board of Directors, Officers, and a wide range of volunteer positions available. In order to vote or hold a position, you have to be a voting member! Annual membership is only $20, and only $10 for students. You must be 18 years of age or older. The membership period runs through our fiscal year, 1 May – 30 April. Paying anytime in that period entitles you to vote and run in the following annual election in April, as well as any other necessary measures throughout the year. The deadline to register as a voting member in the April 28th 2012 election was Wednesday, April 18th. Any new memberships will apply for 1 May 2012 through 30 April 2013.
